This class uses the SharpDevelop IDE. This is a really nice open source development environment. It is free. Unintenionally I downloaded the the Beta 4.1 version and installed on my 64Bit Windows 7 Laptop. Happy to report it worked just fine. I also installed the current release version 3.2 on a 32Bit Windows XP Laptop. It worked just fine there as well. Of course I wrote all the example code in 4.1 and had a few problems porting it back to 3.2. The C# project code itself is not version dependent. Follow the install instructions I created and it should not matter which version you are using.
In general I found the IDE to be really clean and easy to figure out. I really did not scratch the surface of all the features as I only used it in context to what I needed (and you will need) to do the course.
I made the course materials open source as well. I also have included the source documents here as well. You are free to reuse the materials as you see fit within the confines of the licensing agreement (which is pretty open and flexible).
